Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival Medan – Lake Toba – Samosir Island

We will pick up you from airport and drive to lake Toba, the deepest and largest crater lake in the South East Asia passing by town of Pematang Siantar with vast view of oilpalm and rubber plantation. After 4-hour drive, arrive in Parapat a town resort at the edge of lake Toba and then across the lake by boat to reach Samosir, a huge volcanic island in the middle of lake Toba. Day 02: Samosir Tour (B)

Inland excursion to explore the beauty and cultural aspects of Batak visiting Ambarita to see the remnant of the megalithic culture of Batak and Simanindo to see the folkdance performed by the villagers as well as children learning in school. Before return to your hotel, visit Tomok where carved statues stand in an ancient graveyard as memorial to the kings of bygone days.

Day 03: Samosir Island – Berastagi (B)
Across back the lake to Parapat and drive to the scenic highland town of Berastagi with stop at the ancient palace of king Batak Simalungun, Sipiso piso waterfall and Dokan, a Batak Karo village with a number of traditional houses still being used where eight families live in together in each house. Arrive in Berastagi, visit local fruit market before check-in to your hotel. Accomodation at Sibayak or Grand Mutiara Hotel, Berastagi

Day 04: Berastagi – Medan – Departure (B)
Drive downhill passing by winding road with lovely countryside to reach Medan. Upon arrival direct transfer to airport for your onward flight. Tour Ends.
