Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival Medan – Bohorok - Bukit Lawang
We will pick you up from airport and then drive westward passing by vast view of palm oil and rubber plantation to Bukit Lawang, the Orang Utan rehabilitation centre located in Gunung Leuser Park. This is one of the largest national park in the world containing over 800,000 ha of virgin rainforest. Upon arrival, direct transfer to your hotel and free at leisure.

Day 02: Bukit Lawang – Berastagi (B)
Walk along riverside and across the river by canoe to reach the edge of Leuser Park. Continue to hike up to visit the feeding site where the Orangutan fed during the feeding time. After the visit walk back to your accommodation and have a short rest before drive to Berastagi. Arrive in Berastagi visit local fruit market before check-in to your accommodation.

Day 03: Berastagi – lake Toba – Samosir Island (B)
Leave Berastagi for lake Toba, the deepest and largest crater lake in the South East Asia with stop at Dokan, a Batak Karo village with a number of traditional houses still being used where eight families live in together in each house, Sipiso piso waterfall and the ancient king palace of Batak Simalungun. Arrive in Parapat, a town resort at the edge of lake Toba across the lake by boat to reach Samosir, a huge volcanic island in the middle of lake Toba.

Day 04: Samosir Tour (B)
Inland excursion to explore the beauty and cultural aspects of Batak visiting Ambarita to see the remnant of the megalithic culture of Batak and Simanindo to see the folkdance performed by the villagers as well as children learning in school. Before return to your hotel, visit Tomok where carved statues stand in an ancient graveyard as memorial to the kings of bygone days.

Day 05: Samosir Island – Medan – Departure (B)
Across back the lake to Parapat and drive to Medan passing by town of Pematang Siantar with landscape filled with vast view of oilpalm and rubber plantation. After 5-hour journey, arrive in Medan and direct transfer to airport for your onward flight. Tour Ends.
